Spider Veins (also known as Thread Veins) are similar to varicose veins but they're smaller. They are often red or blue and are closer to the surface of the skin than varicose veins. They usually appear on the thighs and ankles and can pose a health risk.
Facial Veins generally appear on the nose, chin or cheek area and often occur in Rosacea .

What does the treatment involve? This will vary depending on the specific blemish or lesion being removed, but mostly the treatment involves the application of a mild diathermy electrical current into the affected area. The blemish will either be removed straight away or may take a few days to shrink away. In some cases, a topical anaesthetic cream or small injection to numb the area may be used if necessary.
How long does the treatment take? You will initially have a full consultation to include a medical questionnaire, and a thorough examination of the blemish to ensure that it is safe to be removed. Once this has been completed the actual treatment generally takes no more than 30 minutes. If there is any suspicion that the blemish needs further examination, then you will be asked to see your own GP or you can be referred to our plastic surgeon.
How long will the effects last? Most blemishes, once treated will not return. However, there is always a risk that the blemish will re-grow, or others may appear in the same area. If this is the case, repeat treatments may be required.
Facial thread vein removal treatment is safe, effective and straightforward; you can expect to say goodbye to red veins and say hello to beautiful, vein-free skin.
